Right now I'm taking a semester off to sort out and hopefully end my life. I live at Le Chateau, a really woopass coop, and am maintentance manager here. My feeling is that life is utterly pointless, so why waste your time trying to accomplish something? It's all meaningless in the long and short run anyway. I'd end all life on this planet if I knew how. Barring that, killing people would just cause more suffering so why bother? Among my interests are just about nothing. I really don't give a fuck. It's all pointless anyway. I while away my time by reading, working at the UC Berkeley Math Department as a sysadmin, fixing shit in this dump (I do the electrical work because there's the greatest chance that I'll get lucky and fry myself), surfing for porn, bitching about my life, getting ignored, and turning my pain into largely lousy music/lyrics that I can't share with anybody because people arent' comfortable with certain attitudes about life and certain rational decisions and because there are things that I can't tell anybody I live with. And no, I don't care about stupid arbitrary grammer rules based on the impossibility of doing things inlatin. I used to like computers, though now most of that passion is gone and/or transfered to fixing all sorts of random shit. I find it relaxing to sit down with a lock, take it apart, and fix it. I used to be a big Linux geek, but now I use windows mostly because it's so convenient and I don't give a fuck about what's best for society or most responsible anymore. This web site's running off a sparc 2 running debian colocated at netaxs and has an uptime of 314 days as of 2-7-02. It had an uptime of 6 months when it was moved. I also used to love Perl, but who cares anyway? It's all just silly transitory knowledge. | |
